Why did you get into optics?

I have always loved working with people so getting to be involved with them in a clinical way as well as their styling was so interesting to me.

How long have you worked for Pinder’s and why did you choose to work with them?

I have worked in optics for 5 years and joined Pinder’s nearly 4 months ago. I love the community feel in Pinder’s but I was also very keen to get involved in the Hearing Clinic. I love that we can help patients with both their sight and their hearing.

What’s your favourite thing about working for Pinder’s?

The team are so friendly and there is a real family feel to the place.

What is your favourite brand/style of glasses and why?

Tom Ford! It is a new brand to the business and they are so stylish. They are really statement frames!

What is your favourite Pinder memory so far?

The first time meeting a glasses rep and seeing the consideration that goes into choosing stock for our patients. It’s fun and interesting and for every frame picked we get to imagine who would like to wear this frame.

What motivates you in your job?

I love knowing that patients have left the practices having had a good experience and that we are a part of caring for people and their health.

What hobbies/activities do you have outside of work?

I have a teenage son who takes up most of my time and I started walking during lockdown which I have tried to maintain since.

Do you have any pets and if so, what? (possibility of picture?)

Unfortunately, not! I would love to have a dog again one day but not at the moment.

Where’s your dream holiday vacation?

 I would love to visit Santorini, see the beautiful blue roofs in real life.

What’s your current favourite film or TV show?

Friends will always be a favourite of mine – I loved the reunion episode that was on recently.

What 3 words would you use to describe yourself?

Kind, considerate, tall!
